Vocabulary sensei

Ju-jutsu techniques have Japanese names. The sensei teaches you the terms and techniques of the belt requirements one belt at a time: adults 5th–1st kyu and juniors 5th–1st mon.

Belt path

Pick a group and start from the top. Every lesson teaches 5–8 terms with cards and then asks them. You need 80 % to pass. Your progress is saved only in this browser.

How you progress

Every belt is split into lessons. A lesson starts with cards that show the term, its meaning and its technique group. Then the game asks each term in two ways, and the ones you miss come back at the end. When every lesson of a belt is passed, the belt exam opens. It mixes the belt with the lower belts, and some answers you type yourself. The terms you have learned come back for a short review after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days.

Terms stick on the mat

The vocabulary sticks best when you do the techniques yourself. The adults' basic course is for everyone aged 15 and over, and you can try the first 3 weeks for free. Children aged 7–14 have their own Junior Ju-Jutsu group.
